Restaurants

Not only are we good at growing food, our county is blessed with many locally owned and operated restaurants providing a variety of culinary offerings.  Restaurant menus in the county range from standard American and regionally popular dishes, to authentic Italian, Mexican and Chinese cuisine. Although not present within the county, if you desire fast-casual dining, well-know national chain restaurants are available in nearby communities

Long in tradition for growing food for America, Champaign County’s array of restaurant and retail food offerings has garnered a reputation for pleasing every palate from the finicky to the discerning; local restaurant entrepreneurs have concentrated on providing great food with attentive personalized service.  Experiences and offerings at local restaurants range from quaint diners serving home-made “comfort foods,” to urban bistros offering 4-star restaurant dining and service.  Downtown Urbana hosts eight locally-owned restaurants and Urbana’s Scioto Street corridor is home to many familiar national fast food chains.  The villages of North Lewisburg, Mechanicsburg and Saint Paris boast an impressive array of food retailers too, offering custom blended coffees, homemade desserts/chocolates and mid-American fare.
