Urbana University
Founded in 1850, Urbana University was laid in-part by John Chapman, better known as "Johnny Appleseed." It was the second institution in Ohio to admit women. The campus is comprised of 128 acres on the southwest edge of the city of Urbana.

Enrollment is roughly 1,500 students, with nearly 90% of undergraduates receiving some sort of financial aid. A recent student census noted attendees from 18 other states and 8 countries. Average class size is 16 students; 74% of Urbana University professors hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
